The Senior Varsity Girls have 5 boards of 100 squares each to sell for 50-50. Each square is $2. If all of the squares are sold, the winner will receive $500.
Today, Mrs. Jarvis bought the Grade 6-7 class a square. One of the students was randomly picked to choose the square and color of board. Milagh chose yellow #69!

Check out the playground!!
I have had so many excited adults and children remark on the changes that are happening on the playground in preparation for Saturday's Build day!
Hard to believe that in five days those piles of rock, sand, brick, gravel and wood will be transformed into an amazing gathering place for our community thanks to the community!

Things are happening on the playground...
If you have driven by the school lately, you will often see some men and machinery prepping the area for the new gathering place!
The cement has been poured for the outdoor classroom and the skeleton frame will soon be going up.
Today, the sod was cut for the arboretum paths by Mark Shearer while Harry Friesen was busy smoothing out places and redistributing some dirt. Hamilton's also showed up with the BIG rocks for the arboretum.
It is definitely getting exciting!

Memorial Benches
Memorial benches can be purchased for the new playground area and
arboretum. They will be locally made, metal benches with engraved plaques
similar to the ones in the farmer’s market area. The price is $425 and is a
great way for a family to leave a lasting tribute to a family member. For more
information or to fund a bench, please contact Sandi 827-2699 or Anna 827-2157.
All of the benches have been spoken for, but there are still components of the playground that can be sponsored with a plaque. Contact Anna Naismith.

Making space for the new structure!
In two months, our community gathering space will be created but between then and now there is lots to do to get the area ready.Today, the old wooden structure is being dismantled! That means the school division will be coming in soon to set up the new bus loading area. Once that is complete, the area will start to be staked out for the different areas and the cement will be poured where it will be needed. It will be exciting to watch the changes happen over the next eight weeks.
